Information we use
When you visit, hosting and network providers receive technical request information, such as your IP address, browser details and requested pages, to deliver and protect the website. If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any other information you choose to include.
Why we use it
We use technical information to operate and secure the site, and correspondence to read and respond to enquiries. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: providing a reliable, secure website and communicating with people who contact us.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which public pages get visited, and Vercel Speed Insights to check how quickly they load and respond. These tools receive page, browser, device and approximate-location information. Vercel also receives connection information, including your IP address. We remove query strings and fragments from measured page URLs.
Basic stats are on by default where permitted. Elsewhere, we ask first. Page-speed checks only start if you allow them. Our purpose is improving this website: we rely on legitimate interests for permitted basic stats and your consent for optional measurement.
Change your mind anytime using . Switching off stops future measurement; it does not remove stats already sent. We also respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals from supported browsers.
These tools do not use tracking cookies. We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage and ask again after 180 days. An earlier refusal stays in place until you choose again. We do not use these tools for advertising or to build profiles across websites.
Service providers and retention
Hosting, network and email service providers process relevant information as needed to provide their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.
We keep information only as long as needed for its purpose. Retention depends on operational and security needs, whether an enquiry or follow-up remains open, and any applicable legal obligations.
Vercel provides our hosting and website measurement. Its Web Analytics visitor identifier is discarded after 24 hours; aggregate statistics can be kept longer. Where providers process personal information outside the UK, we use applicable safeguards, such as approved contractual terms. You can contact us for details.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your personal information, have it erased, or restrict its use.
You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email hello@fourecho.com to exercise your rights or raise a concern.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
